I'm obsessed with jumpsuits- like I die for them- if you throw a flannel on over it, you add some spice! You can also tie it around the waist to give it a cinch! by jessicala23 featuring a nude lipstick

A letter to the girl in the mirror...
Dear Girl on the Other Side of the Mirror,
You're an interesting specimen. Society cannot figure out what to do with you. Is that what's messing with your head? I guess we can't figure out how you're supposed to look and that's putting a strain of things.
I keep hearing stuff in regards to you-
your body is beautiful just the way it is, but it'd be better and easier for you if you were skinnier.
Life is too short, eat the damn cupcake, but instead of eating the cupcake don't because you know it's not organic.
Exercise and make time for yourself, but only after you've worked your full time job.
If someone doesn't love you they have a problem, but you might want to work on these things about you that society feels uncomfortable with.
Always be yourself... With makeup on so people won't ask, "are you feeling alright?" Or "you seem tired, are you okay?"
It's okay to be different, but not okay to talk about it.
You can be whatever you want to be, within your social class.
Be proud of who you are, unless you are a woman or some sort of minority or both.
Wear whatever you want! But make sure you're not asking for trouble by wearing exactly what you want. Also, be sure to cover up anything that isn't aesthetically pleasing.
You're a strong independent woman, but it's making you're family and friends uncomfortable that you haven't found someone yet. Don't worry, there's someone out there for everyone.
Never change a thing. Besides your nose, your brows, your waist, your thighs, your shape, and anything you can compromise to keep people from staring at you for too long.
Eat protein but not meat.
Women are equal and can do anything a man could do. Just not get paid the same amount, cannot talk about sex, politics, feelings, emotions, and their bodies.
GIRL POWER... In secret.
It's your body, but not your choice.
You have the most beautiful personality, but if you aren't considered to be beautiful no one is going to want to listen to what you have to say.
Don't you dare age.
Watch your mouth.
Your sexuality is YOURS, but if you sleep with anyone and someone finds out about it that's YOUR bad. You slut.
Don't ask for anything. Do it yourself, because you're a woman.
Don't cut your hair short! You'll look like a boy.
Your lips are too thin.
Your arms are too big.
Only sailors and men in jail should have tattoos and piercings are only damaging your skin. You must want attention. You must have been neglected as a child. This must be a cry for help.
You don't want to get married if you're not in love? But you had a child out of wedlock.
You are a woman hear you roar, unless you were born a man. Gender identification doesn't matter.
You can't want equal rights. Don't be ridiculous.
You can't have sex you just need to look, act, and dress like a sex symbol.
You're such a slut.
What's wrong with you?
I know that people say that they don't understand how women do it. I don't understand how we do it either. Most of us have 1/2 of these questions asked to ourselves before we leave the house in the morning. We live in a world where every single thing is considered a double standard- and we are always being watched. Normal people want to know why we don't look the same as the girls in the magazines. We have the constant questions coming at us from both ends. Suddenly being independent means responsibility for everything both positive and negative about being who you are.
I feel like we should all step away from the hype (easier said than done, I know) and get to know the girl on the other side of the mirror. The stronger our bond is with her the more unstoppable we are. Not to mention, we as women need to hold each other up instead of tearing one another down for succeeding where we come up short. Self love is important but so is love in general.
Don't you see what is happening here? No offense guys, but why is it STILL in 2015 more offensive to society for a man to be feminine, but a woman to be a "tomboy" is perfectly fine. We don't worry then.
Well guess what? IT IS OKAY TO BE A NEW AGE FEMALE. IT IS OKAY TO CRY. IT IS OKAY TO VOTE. IT IS OKAY TO BE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH. IT IS OKAY TO HAVE A HIGHER IQ THAN A MAN. IT IS OKAY TO SHAVE YOUR HEAD IF YOU WANT TO. IT IS OKAY TO WEAR SHORT SKIRTS. IT IS OKAY TO GET STRESSED OUT. IT IS OKAY TO FEEL LIKE YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME IN A DAY. IT IS OKAY TO WANT MORE OUT OF YOUR PARTNER. IT IS OKAY TO DYE YOUR HAIR WEIRD COLORS. YOU CAN STILL BE FEMININE WITH INK ON YOUR SKIN. YOU CAN STILL BE FEMININE WITH PIERCINGS ON YOUR FACE. YOU ARE OKAY IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET MARRIED WHEN YOU ARE IN YOUR EARLY TWENTIES. IT IS OKAY TO TALK ABOUT HAVING YOUR PERIOD. IT IS OKAY TO SHOW SIDE BOOB. IT IS OKAY TO IDENTIFY AS A WOMAN IF YOU WERE NOT BORN THAT WAY. IT IS NOT OFFENSIVE TO RAISE A BABY ON YOUR OWN. IT IS OKAY TO WANT MORE FROM SOCIETY.
IT IS OKAY.
YOU ARE OKAY.
YOU ARE FUCKING RAD.
Sincerely,
the girl looking into the glass from the world's side.
